With Peak Systems' Help, Meydenbauer Center is “Meeting” the High Demand for its Facilities

The Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington, is a major Seattle-area convention center, banquet facility and performing arts venue. In 2008, Meydenbauer Center hosted nearly 400 events attracting over 212,000 attendees. Meydenbauer hired Peak to develop a centralized Intranet to complement its existing event management software.

Peak developed a robust Intranet that automated and expedited numerous sales, marketing and HR functions. An access control tool allows site administrators to assign different levels of access to different users. Meydenbauer Center’s internal policy and procedure guide is online and searchable. The online format of the guide makes it easy to update and renders costly printed copies unnecessary. Another helpful tool allows Meydenbauer to create, post, edit, clone, archive and remove all of their job listings.

A full-featured online proposal tool is part of the Intranet as well. Proposals can be created, edited, cloned and archived. The proposals are sortable by event name, event date, status, company name and sales manager. The various “pages” of the proposal may consist of HTML, a file or a URL. Edits made to proposals are visible to all other users with access to the proposal builder. Instead of sending an email with several file attachments when providing a quote, now Meydenbauer Center’s sales staff can send an email with one URL containing all of a potential client’s quote details.

Peak also developed a tool that allows Meydenbauer personnel to manage all of their press releases, with editing, archiving, cloning, categorizing and the removal of press releases all supported.

The tools in the Intranet have improved the experience of Meydenbauer Center’s clients, potential clients and the staff members that use it.
